Trijntje Oosterhuis is a common value in the Dutch music industry, and besides this she is also one of most hardworking musicians in the country. Earlier this year she performed three times with the Ladies of Soul in the Ziggo Dome and she was busy with the Eurovision Songfestival and her submission ‘Walk Along’. Her participation did not lead to a spot in the finale, but it did bring about a beautiful new album. In the upcoming club show this newly released album ‘Walk Along’ is the main theme.
The Netherlands were introduced to Trijntje in 1996 as the figurehead of the group Total Touch. Her courage to delve into new projects was there from the start. And she has been doing that very well for the last 20 years. “I am very happy and grateful for the projects I have embraced. Because of that, I am always developing as a person and as a musician. As long as I can put my heart into it as a singer.” That mentality and her believable performances brought Trijntje to very special places. At just the age of 24 she shared the stage with legend Herbie Hancock during the famous North Sea Jazz Festival. Together with the Metropole Orchestra she recorded the project ‘The Look of Love’ which was an ode to the repertoire of songwriter Burt Bacharach in 2006. He himself also contributed to the album and called Trijntje one of the best interpreters of his songs. “Especially the easy with which she sings surprised me immensely. She is so fantastic.”

Trijntje Oosterhuis is een vaste waarde in de Nederlandse muziekwereld, daarnaast is ze ook nog eens één van de hardst werkende muzikanten uit ons land. Eerder dit jaar stond ze met de Ladies of Soul drie keer in de Ziggo Dome en was ze druk met het Eurovision Songfestival en haar inzending ‘Walk Along’. Meedoen aan het songfestival leverde niet een finaleplaats, maar wel een prachtig nieuw album op. In deze clubshow staat dit nieuwe uitgebrachte album ‘Walk Along’ centraal.
Nederland leerde Trijntje in 1996 kennen als boegbeeld van de groep Total Touch. Haar moed om in nieuwe projecten te duiken was er al vanaf het begin. En dat heeft ze de afgelopen 20 jaar met verve gedaan. “Ik ben zeer blij en dankbaar met alle projecten die ik heb omarmd. Ik ben als mens en daarmee als muzikant continu in ontwikkeling. Zolang ik er maar mijn hart als zangeres in kan leggen.” Die instelling en haar geloofwaardige performances, bracht Trijntje op zeer bijzondere plekken. Al op haar 24ste stond ze tijdens het fameuze North Sea Jazz Festival met legende Herbie Hancock op het podium. In 2006 nam ze samen met het Metropole Orkest het werkstuk ‘The Look Of Love’ op dat een ode was aan het repertoire van songschrijver Burt Bacharach. Hij speelde zelf mee op het album en noemde Trijntje één van de allerbeste vertolkers van zijn songs. “Vooral het gemak waarmee ze zingt heeft mij enorm verrast. Ze is zo fantastisch.”
