Het Nederlands Studenten Kamerorkest (Nesko) wordt ieder jaar opnieuw samengesteld uit zo’n 45 ambitieuze studenten die naast hun studie op hoog niveau muziek maken. In april trekken zij door Nederland voor een tournee en duiken zij twee weken lang in het kamermuziekrepertoire.
Ditmaal staat de tournee in het teken van het thema ‘Nesko Schildert in Klank’, een muzikale ontdekkingstocht waarin het Nesko klanken tot leven brengt als penseelstreken op een doek. Het concert opent met Beethovens lyrische Vioolconcert in D, waarin soliste SongHa met haar warme, virtuoze spel de verfijnde melodieën en emotie van het stuk tot leven brengt.
Vervolgens klinkt een eigentijdse compositie van Thomas van Dun, speciaal geschreven voor het Nesko, waarin moderne en traditionele klanken zullen samenkomen. De avond sluit af met Tsjaikovski’s Eerste Suite, een sprankelend werk vol levendige, kleurrijke klankbeelden die de luisteraar onderdompelen in een wereld van muzikale schilderijen.

The Dutch Student Chamber Orchestra (Nesko) is assembled every year from about 45 ambitious students who make music at a high level in addition to their studies. In April, they tour the Netherlands, diving into the chamber music repertoire for two weeks.
This time the tour is centered on the theme “Nesko Paints in Sound,” a musical exploration in which the Nesko brings sounds to life like brushstrokes on a canvas. The concert opens with Beethoven’s lyrical Violin Concerto in D, in which soloist SongHa brings to life the refined melodies and emotion of the piece with her warm, virtuosic playing.
Next will be a contemporary composition by Thomas van Dun, written especially for the Nesko, in which modern and traditional sounds will merge. The evening will close with Tchaikovsky’s First Suite, a sparkling work full of vibrant, colorful soundscapes that immerse the listener in a world of musical paintings.
