De Jamaicaanse ‘conscious revolutionary lyricist’ oftewel reggaezanger Kabaka Pyramid behoort tot de nieuwe generatie succesvolle reggae artiesten. Met nummers als Never Gonna Be a Slave, No Capitalist en No Cliche leverde hij niet alleen grote hits, maar ook statements tegen Babylon. Deze jonge rasta brengt je traditionele roots reggae vermengd met dancehall en hiphop invloeden, inclusief vurige teksten uit eigen pen.

Onlangs bracht Kabaka zijn nieuwe album Kontraband uit, geproduceerd door Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, met bijdragen van zijn muziekvrienden Protoje en Chronixx. Kabaka recently released his new album Kontraband, produced by Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, featuring his music friends Protoje and Chronixx.
