Kamerata Zuid is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a revival of the successful concert tour featuring pianist and composer Iris Hond. She is known not only for her beautiful piano playing but also for the way she draws the audience into her personal performances. During this program, she offers her perspective on the sounds of the world-famous composer Ludovico Einaudi. He called Iris Hond’s extraordinary piano playing “one of the most beautiful performances of my music.” Tonight, Einaudi’s solo concerto Domino will be performed in its entirety, a work full of technical precision and deep inspiration. In addition, Iris will play her own compositions, and Kamerata Zuid will perform well-known pieces by pianists who are also composers, such as Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Rachmaninov.
