Van Pinkpopartiest tot afwasser, en weer terug als finalist bij The Voice of Holland: geen enkele Nederlandse artiest heeft zo’n grillige carrière achter de rug als Erwin Nyhoff. Begin jaren negentig breekt Nyhoff door als frontman van The Prodigal Sons met de radiohit You Still Think. Met debuutalbum Wine of Life speelt The Prodigal Sons op onder meer Pinkpop en Lowlands en in het voorprogramma van Pearl Jam en Alanis Morissette. Ook wordt de band twee keer uitgenodigd voor South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Na honderden optredens stopt de band en gaat Nyhoff verder als soloartiest, waarna hij jaren later de finale van The Voice of Holland bereikt. Nu keert hij samen met ex leden uit verschillende bezettingen van de band terug naar Groningen en speelt hij opnieuw met The Prodigal Sons. Gegarandeerd een avond met bluesy southern rock, klassiekers van de band en solowerk van Nyhoff.

In the early 1990s, Nyhoff broke through as the frontman of The Prodigal Sons with the radio hit You Still Think. With their debut album Wine of Life, The Prodigal Sons played major festivals including Pinkpop and Lowlands and supported Pearl Jam and Alanis Morissette. The band was also invited to perform at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, twice.
After hundreds of shows, the band called it a day and Nyhoff continued as a solo artist. Years later, he reached the final of The Voice of Holland. Now he returns to Groningen with former members from different line-ups of The Prodigal Sons to play together once again. Expect an evening of bluesy Southern rock, band classics and songs from Nyhoff’s solo career.
