Joris Teepe presents: New York comes to Groningen – The Art Of Swing. Bass player Joris Teepe invites several top musicians to give a joint concert in the Small Hall.
Dado Moroni is an Italian pianist. In 2007 he won the award for ‘Best Jazz Act’ during the Italian Jazz Awards. During his 35-year career he performed with top musicians, such as Freddie Hubbard, Clark Terry, Zoot Sims, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Ray Brown and Ron Carter. Since 2010 he is active as ‘Professor of Jazz Piano’ at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Turin.
Deborah Brown is flying to Groningen straight from Kansas City. The female singer worked with artists such as saxophonist Johnny Griffin and harmonica-virtuoso Toots Thielemans. Besides this, she was lead vocalist on 11 albums, released on labels such as 33 Jazz, Alfa, Timeless and Koch.
Up until now saxophonist Wess ‘’Warmdaddy’’ Anderson released three solo albums. In 1988 he became member of Wynton Marsalis’ Septet, with which he toured for seven years. Moreover he has been part of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra since 1992.
In 1981 Lewis Nash (drummer) broke through in the jazz scene when he became part of the Betty Carter Trio. He can be heard on more than 300 albums and has been part of top jazz ensembles such as Ron Carter’s band, Branford Marsalis’ Quartet, Tommy Flanagan Trio and Don Pullen/George Adams Quartet.

Joris Teepe presents: New York comes to Groningen – The Art Of Swing. Bassist Joris Teepe nodigt enkele topmuzikanten uit om een gezamenlijk concert te geven in de Kleine Zaal.
Dado Moroni is een Italiaanse pianist. In 2007 won hij de award voor ‘Best Jazz Act’ tijdens de Italian Jazz Awards. Gedurende zijn 35-jarige carrière speelde hij samen met topmuzikanten, waaronder Freddie Hubbard, Clark Terry, Zoot Sims, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Ray Brown en Ron Carter. Sinds 2010 is hij actief als ‘Professor of Jazz Piano’ aan de Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Turijn.
