Al meer dan veertig jaar behoren The Jayhawks tot de meest invloedrijke namen binnen de americana. In hun muziek komen country, folk, soul en rock samen, waarmee ze moeiteloos de klassieke Amerikaanse songwriting vertegenwoordigen.
Met twaalf studioalbums, optredens op festivals als Pinkpop en Primavera Sound en samenwerkingen met onder anderen Johnny Cash en Ray Davies, heeft de band een indrukwekkend oeuvre opgebouwd. Ook vandaag blijven Gary Louris, Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg en Tim O’Reagan wereldwijd touren en nieuwe muziek maken.
Voor hun nieuwste album Sanctuary Park, werkte de band samen met de legendarische producer Bob Ezrin. Sanctuary Park zal in de zomer van 2026 worden uitgebracht.
