The Dandy Warhols is an indie/garage rock band from Portland, which was founded during the peak of the grunge scene in the 90s. By very strong live performances and a sound influenced by psychedelic pop the band profiled itself as a great act. With the album ‘Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia’ from 2000 the Dandys scored the hit ‘Bohemian Like You’, which was later used by Vodafone in TV commercials.
Their first live-album was released earlier in 2014 and now The Dandy Warhols are coming to Groningen for the first time. After eight studio albums and 20 years of live performances the Dandys have proven to be much more than a ‘one-hit wonder’!

Met het album ‘Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia’ uit 2000 scoorden de Dandys de hit ‘Bohemian Like You’, die later door Vodafone in tv-commercials gebruikt werd.

De uit Brighton afkomstige band Dark Horses maakt licht psychedelische rock, die vooral wordt voortgestuwd door drums, bas en synths. Er hangt nogal wat mysterie om deze band en de sekte-achtige plaatjes en video’s tijdens hun liveshows dragen daar alleen maar aan bij. Vorig jaar verscheen het tweede album ‘Hail Lucid State’.
