De etherische muziek van het Deense Svaneborg Kardyb is melodieus, minimaal en subtiel, met een elektronisch randje. De heren zijn meester in het creëren van een muzikale wereld waarin de luisteraar zorgeloos kan wegdromen. De nummers putten uit Deense volksmuziek en Scandinavische jazzinvloeden, zoals Nils Frahm en Esbjörn Svennson. Na een succesvol optreden op Eurosonic Noorderslag komt het duo terug naar Groningen met het nieuwe album Superkilen.
“Met instrumentale muziek,” reflecteert Nikolaj, “zijn er geen woorden, dus er is niets wat mensen van elkaar scheidt – iedereen zit op dezelfde pagina, dus we kunnen echt verbinding maken met mensen. We hebben een nummer genaamd Freudesang, wat ‘Het Fluitende Lied’ betekent. We spelen het op elke show, en we laten het publiek meefluiten, en iedereen kan het doen.”
Het duo bestaat uit Nikolaj Svaneborg (Wurlitzer, Juno) en Jonas Kardyb (drums, percussie). De zachte, authentieke muziek is perfect voor liefhebbers van Nils Frahm, Matthew Hallsall, e.s.t. en Mammal Hands.

The ethereal music of the Danish duo Svaneborg Kardyb is melodic, minimal, and subtle, with an electronic edge. The pair are masters at creating a musical world in which the listener can effortlessly drift away. The tracks draw from Danish folk music and Scandinavian jazz influences, such as Nils Frahm and Esbjörn Svensson. After a successful performance at Eurosonic Noorderslag, the duo returns to Groningen with their new album Superkilen. “With instrumental music,” reflects Nikolaj, “there are no words, so there’s nothing separating people – everyone is on the same page, so we can really connect with them. We have a song called ‘Freudesang,’ which means ‘The Whistling Tune.’ We play it at every show, and we invite the audience to whistle along, and everyone can do it.” The duo consists of Nikolaj Svaneborg (Wurlitzer, Juno) and Jonas Kardyb (drums, percussion). Their gentle, authentic music is perfect for fans of Nils Frahm, Matthew Halsall, e.s.t., and Mammal Hands.
