Dressed in dress suits, the brylcreamed hair neatly combed backwards and with a big wink Max Raabe and his Palast Orchester bring new life to the German dance and film music of the twenties and thirties: ‘Eine Nacht in Berlin’. And if the übercool Max really gets into the mood, he will throw in a few disguised covers of famous pop songs in thirties style; his version of Britney Spears’ hit ‘Oops, I did it again’ is highly praised.
The German ensemble is a worldwide sensation, which isn’t very strange: this will make any person very happy. Just like the previous performances in Holland, the new show ‘Eine Nacht in Berlin’ promises to be a special evening with a fantastic orchestra, enchanting melodies and contagious humour. Let yourself get carried away to the vibrating Berliner nightlife of the past century.

En als übercoole Max het echt op zijn heupen krijgt, gooit hij er een paar in jaren dertig stijl vermomde covers van bekende popsongs tegenaan; zijn versie van Britney Spears’ hit ‘Oops, I did it again’ is veel geroemd.
Het Duitse ensemble is een wereldwijde sensatie en dat is niet zo gek: hier wordt een mens heel erg vrolijk van.
