De legendarische rockband Lady Pank komt naar Groningen! De Poolse formatie is met recht iconisch te noemen en behoort na 45 jaar bestaan tot de absolute canon van de Poolse pop- en rockmuziek.
De band, opgericht in 1981 door gitarist en componist Jan Borysewicz en samen met zanger Janusz Panasewicz uitgegroeid tot een icoon, heeft generaties luisteraars weten te raken met tijdloze hits. Nummers als Kryzysowa narzeczona, Zamki na piasku, Mniej niż zero, Tańcz głupia, tańcz en Zawsze tam gdzie Ty zijn uitgegroeid tot klassiekers die bij miljoenen fans onlosmakelijk verbonden zijn met de Poolse muziekgeschiedenis. Geen wonder dus, dat het debuutalbum Lady Pank meer dan een miljoen keer verkocht is.
The legendary Lady Pank is coming to Groningen! The Polish rock band is truly iconic and, after 45 years, belongs to the absolute canon of Polish pop and rock music. Founded in 1981 by guitarist and composer Jan Borysewicz, together with singer Janusz Panasewicz, the band has grown into an icon, touching generations of listeners with timeless hits. Songs such as Kryzysowa narzeczona, Zamki na piasku, Mniej niż zero, Tańcz głupia, tańcz and Zawsze tam gdzie Ty have become classics, inseparably tied to Polish music history for millions of fans. It is therefore no surprise that Lady Pank’s debut album has sold more than one million copies.
