Zet de muziek van Young Gun Silver Fox op en waan je al bij de eerste maten op de Highway 1. In een auto met open dak, rijdend langs de Stille Oceaan en de wuivende Californische palmen. Op zondag 10 september komt de band opnieuw naar Groningen met een nieuw album op zak!
Young Gun Silver Fox bestaat uit Engelsman Andy Platts, zanger en gitarist van de band Mamas Gun, en de Amerikaanse producer Shawn Lee, die met o.a. Lana del Rey, Amy Winehouse en Alicia Keys werkte. Luister naar debuutplaat West End Coast (2015), opvolger AM Waves (2018) of het meest recente album Canyons (2020) en je hoort direct waar het duo zich door laat inspireren als ze hun zonovergoten westcoastpop opnemen. Invloeden van acts als The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, America en The Eagles zijn onmiskenbaar en worden ook nog eens verpakt in ijzersterke songs. Young Gun Silver Fox stond in 2018 op onze Rhythm & Blues Night en stond al twee keer eerder in een stampvolle Kleine Zaal.
Put on the music of Young Gun Silver Fox and within the first few bars you will find yourself transported to California’s Highway 1, driving along the Pacific Ocean in an open-top car. On Sunday 10 September the band will return to Groningen with a brand-new album: Ticket to Shangri-La!
Young Gun Silver Fox consists of Englishman Andy Platts, singer and guitarist of the band Mamas Gun, and American producer Shawn Lee, who has worked with Lana del Rey, Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys, to name but a few. Just listen to their debut album West End Coast(2015), successor AM Waves(2018) or Canyons(2020) and you will immediately hear the inspiration behind their sun-drenched west coast pop. Their strong songs are unmistakably infused with influences from acts such as The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, America and The Eagles. Young Gun Silver Fox performed at our Rhythm & Blues Night in 2018 and has performed twice before in a packed Recital Hall.
