Alle troublemakers verzamelen! De Amerikaanse rhythm & bluesband Vintage Trouble maakt een mix van scheurende bluesrock en rauwe, ingetogen soul onder de bezielende leiding van frontman Ty Taylor. Woensdag 12 juni betreedt Taylor samen met Nalle Colt (gitaar), Rick Barrio Dill (bass) en Richard Danielson (drums) het podium van de Grote Zaal in De Oosterpoort!
Nieuwe fase
De band debuteerde in 2011 met The Bomb Shelter Sessions. ‘Tussendoortje’ The Swing House Acoustic Sessions verscheen in 2014. Een lange tijd was het album 1 Hopeful Rd (2015) hun laatste wapenfeit. Dat het album Chapter II pas drie jaar later verscheen is niet zo raar. De mannen daagden zichzelf voor dit album uit. “We wanted to show the other side of who we are. It’s definitely Chapter II in the story of Vintage Trouble”, aldus Nalle Colt.

Buckle up
Niet voor niets mocht Vintage Trouble al het voorprogramma verzorgen bij grote namen als The Who, The Rolling Stones en AC/DC. De band brengt je naar zweterige ‘juke joints’ waar oude soullegendes uit hun tenen zingen op stampende rhythm-and-blues. Stilzitten tijdens een van hun liveshows is geen optie. Wij kunnen dan ook niet wachten tot de Grote Zaal wordt omgetoverd tot een dampend feestje inclusief de nodige danspasjes!

James Blunt beschreef hem al als ‘’een spannende kruising tussen Jake Bugg en Neil Young’’. De Engelse singer-songwriter DD Allen schrijft eerlijke en oprechte liedjes die door zijn onmiskenbare stem in populariteit groeien. 5 juli brengt hij zijn debuut-EP uit waarop een visceraal geluid vol energie de overtoom voert. Woensdag 12 juni is hij de support bij het concert van Vintage Trouble!

New phase
The band made its debut in 2011 with The Bomb Shelter Sessions. ‘Refreshment’ The Swing House Acoustic Sessions was released in 2014. The album 1 Hopeful Rd (2015) did not have a successor for a long time. It did make sense for the album Chapter II to be released not until three years later. The men challenged themselves for this album. “We wanted to show the other side of who we are. It’s definitely Chapter II in the story of Vintage Trouble,” says Nalle Colt.
Buckle up
It was not for nothing Vintage Trouble was support act to greats as The Who, The Rolling Stones, and AC/DC. The band takes you to sweaty ‘juke joints’ where old soul legends give it their all to stamping rhythm and blues. Sitting still during their live shows is not an option. We cannot wait for De Oosterpoort to be turned into a steaming party with a lot of dancing!
