The world famous Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel (two Grammy nominations!) is returning to Holland! At a very young age Emmanuel began working on his career. At age 10 he was touring through Australia with his family under the name ‘The Emmanuel Quartet’ and since then he has never really stopped playing the guitar. For example, he has often played as a session musician and has worked with Michael Bolton, Eric Clapton, John Denver and Stevie Wonder, amongst others. Around his 30th his dream came true; a collaboration with his idol and hero Chet Atkins. Together they recorded the album ‘The Day The Finger Pickers Took Over The World’. This brought him his first Grammy nomination. The album ‘The Mystery’ gained him his second nomination. Now, Tommy Emmanuel has grown into a virtuoso successful solo artist.

Al op jonge leeftijd begon Emmanuel aan zijn carrière. Op zijn 10e tourde hij met zijn familie onder de naam ‘The Emmanuel Quartet’ door Australië en eigenlijk is hij nooit meer gestopt met gitaar spelen. Zo speelde hij veel als sessiemuzikant en werkte onder andere samen met Michael Bolton, Eric Clapton, John Denver en Stevie Wonder.
Rond zijn 30e kwam zijn droom uit; een samenwerking met zijn idool en held Chet Atkins. Samen namen zij het album ‘The Day The Finger Pickers Took Over The World’ op. Daarmee haalde hij zijn eerste Grammy nominatie binnen. Het album ‘The Mystery’ leverde hem zijn tweede nominatie op. Tommy Emmanuel is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een virtuoze, succesvolle soloartiest.

De Australische singer-songwriter Rick Price brak door bij het grote publiek met zijn debuutalbum ‘Heaven Knows’. Dit album deed het erg goed in zijn thuisland, Europa en Azië en leverde hem diverse top 40 hits op. Price identificeert zich met songwriter als James Taylor en Carole King, die de gave bezitten om complexe zaken simpel te verwoorden. Hij tourde al eerder een jaar met Tommy Emmanuel door Europa en Amerika en vanavond spelen ze weer in dezelfde zaal!
