The Veils is het muzikale project rond zanger, songwriter en pianist Finn Andrews. De Brits-Nieuw-Zeelandse band staat bekend om hun intense, persoonlijke sound en beweegt moeiteloos tussen alternatieve indierock, folk en donkere ballads. Sinds Andrews op zijn zestiende tekende bij het invloedrijke label Rough Trade, bouwde hij met The Veils aan een eigen, direct herkenbaar geluid én een sterke live-reputatie.
Sindsdien bracht de band acht studioalbums uit en werd samengewerkt met uiteenlopende producers en artiesten. In 2026 verschijnt het nieuwe album Fragile World. Tijdens optredens ligt de nadruk niet alleen op dit recente werk, maar op het volledige repertoire dat The Veils in ruim twintig jaar heeft opgebouwd.
The Veils is the musical project of singer, songwriter, and pianist Finn Andrews. The British–New Zealand band is known for their intense, deeply personal sound, moving effortlessly between alternative indie rock, folk, and dark ballads. Since Andrews signed to the influential label Rough Trade at the age of sixteen, he has built a distinct, instantly recognizable style with The Veils, along with a strong live reputation.
Since then, the band has released eight studio albums and collaborated with a wide range of producers and artists. Their music is marked by powerful dynamics, emotional depth, and a constant tension between intimate passages and sweeping crescendos — always driven by Andrews’ distinctive voice and songwriting.
In 2026, the new album Fragile World will be released. In live performances, the focus is not only on this recent work, but on the full repertoire The Veils have built over more than twenty years.
