Kristian Matsson oftewel The Tallest Man On Earth komt terug naar Groningen. De Zweedse Singer songwriter brengt de soms grillige, poëtische teksten met gepassioneerde vocalen. Zijn indringende indie-folk met ruimtelijk en sfeervol geluid zal op 3 oktober de Stadsschouwburg vullen.
When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground
The Tallest Man On Earth komt met een splinternieuw album genaamd When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground. Kristian zal iedere maand een nieuw nummer met een eigen geregisseerde videoclip vrijgeven. Het nieuwe album kent vijf nummers waarvan het eerste An Ocean heet. When Bird Sees The Solid Ground is een doorlopend project; de nummers en bijbehorende videoclips worden geproduceerd door Matsson zelf achter de camera en de microfoon.
A Light In Demos
Kristian Matsson heeft een grote interesse in fotografie en het maken van zijn eigen videoclips. Zo ontstond het videoproject A Light In Demos, waarin The Tallest Man On Earth de nummers zelf bedacht en opnam met zijn eigen camera. A Light In Demos heeft de weg geëffend voor When Bird Sees The Solid Ground. Alleen worden de nummers van het album nu ook in de studio opgenomen, zodat ze kunnen worden gemixt en gemasterd.
Bob Dylan
Hoewel Kristian Matsson zijn nummers zo simpel mogelijk opneemt, in huiskamersetting en met spaarzame arrangementen, weet hij de luisteraar maximaal te raken. En dan brengt hij live on stage ook nog eens zijn enorme podiumpersoonlijkheid mee. Zelfs zijn inspiratiebron is groots: Bob Dylan, aartsvader der singer-songwriters, klinkt door in zowel stem, gitaarspel als teksten van The Tallest Man On Earth.

Kristian Matsson, also known as The Tallest Man On Earth, will return to Groningen. The Swedish singer-songwriter adds passionate vocals to his from time to time whimsical, poetic lyrics. His intense indie folk with spatial and atmospheric sound will fill up the Stadsschouwburg on 3 October.
When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground
The Tallest Man On Earth brings his brand-new album entitled When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground. Kristian will release a new track every month, accompanied by a video clip he himself directed. The new album consists of five songs, of which An Ocean is the first. When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground is a continuous project; the songs and the video clips are produced by Matsson himself, both controlling the camera and the microphone.
A Light In Demos
Kristian Matsson is very interested in photography and making his own video clips. That is how the video project A Light In Demos arose, in which The Tallest Man On Earth wrote his own songs and shot them with his own camera. A Light In Demos paved the way for When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground. However, the album’s songs are now being recorded in the studio as well, so that they can be mixed and mastered.

Even though Kristian Matsson records his songs as unpolished as possible, in living-room setting and with sober arrangements, he is able to move the listener maximally. And then there is also the enormous stage personality he brings along when performing live. Even his source of inspiration is great: Bob Dylan, founding father of singer-songwriters, resounds in The Tallest Man On Earth’s vocals, guitar play as well as lyrics.
