The Choir of St John’s College Cambridge
It’s almost Christmas time en wie kunnen u beter in de sfeer brengen dan The Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. Dit legendarische jongenskoor zingt al vanaf 1670 dagelijks in hun kapel in Cambridge en is tegenwoordig hét boegbeeld van de indrukwekkende, eeuwenoude Britse koortraditie.
De jonge sopranen en iets oudere tenoren en bassen doen elk publiek smelten met hun stemgeluid. Op het programma staat onder meer Poulencs Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël, vier kleine pareltjes waarin het kerstverhaal wordt bezongen.

Daarnaast trakteren de Britse koorknapen u op hartverwarmende kerstliederen en seizoenfavorieten, zoals In the bleak midwinter van Holst en natuurlijk Silent Night.

Christmas programme by legendary boys’ choir
It’s almost Christmas time and who better to get you in the mood than the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. This legendary boys’ choir has been singing daily in their Cambridge chapel since 1670 and is one of the finest contemporary representatives of the impressive, age-old British choir tradition. The young sopranos and somewhat older tenors and basses move every audience with the sound of their voice. Programmed is, among other pieces, Poulenc’s Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël, four short gems about the Christmas story. The British choirboys will also treat you to heart-warming Christmas songs and seasonal favourites, such as Holst’s In the bleak midwinter and of course Silent Night.
