Topvioliste Rosanne Philippens
We hebben Janine Jansen, Liza Ferschtman, Simone Lamsma en voeg daar zeker ook de naam Rosanne Philippens toe. Want in dit rijtje Nederlandse topviolisten hoort deze klassieke hoogvlieger zeker thuis. Ze speelt wereldwijd in de meest chique zalen en won al diverse grote internationale concoursen. In huize Philippens werd veel aan muziek gedaan, maar de grootste drijfveer om viool te gaan spelen was haar oudere zus, jazzvioliste Julia Philippens (Fuse).
De wereld van Grieg
Tijdens dit concert duikt Rosanne samen met pianist François Lambret in de wereld van de Noorse romanticus Grieg, de Chopin van het Hoge Noorden. U hoort delen uit zijn ‘Lyrische stukken’ en uit zijn beroemde ‘Peer Gynt’.
Grieg Stichting Nederland
Dit concert vindt plaats in samenwerking met de Grieg Stichting Nederland en is de opening van een weekendfestival gewijd aan de muziek voor strijkinstrumenten van Grieg, dat op 12, 13 en 14 oktober plaatsvindt. Kijk voor meer informatie op griegstichting.nl.

Top-class violinist dives into the world of Grieg
We are already lucky to have Janine Jansen, Liza Ferschtman and Simone Lamstra, and now we can also add Rosanne Philippens to that group, because this classical wunderkind certainly has earned her place on that list. She has performed all over the world in some of the most prestigious halls and has won various distinguished international competitions. Music was practiced constantly in the Philippens house, but her main inspiration to play the violin was her older sister, jazzviolist Julia Philippens (Fuse). During this concert, Rosanne will explore the world of the Norwegian romantic Grieg, also known as the Chopin of the Nordics, together with pianist François Lambret. You will hear parts of his ‘lyrical pieces’ and his famous ‘Peer Gynt’.
This concert will take place in collaboration with the Grieg Stichting Nederland (Grieg Dutch Society) and is the opening of a weekend festival dedicated to music for the string instruments of Grieg, taking place on October 12, 13 and 14. For more information, please see griegstichting.nl.
