Polyphonic is op een missie om te bewijzen dat drum ‘n bass voor iedereen kan zijn. De 10-koppige groep uit Nederland combineert snelle breakbeats, dikke baslijnen en scheurende gitaren met live viool, trompet, trombone, piano en zang. Hun innovatieve covers van Chase & Status en Pendulum, maar ook Mozart, The Weekend, Avicii en Eminem bereikten miljoenen mensen op social media.
Vorig jaar creëerde Polyphonic ‘s werelds eerste moshpit ooit op een klassiek muziekfestival: hun bewijs dat iedereen uit hun dak kan – en mag – gaan op muziek. In hun nieuwe show brengt Polyphonic haar beste repertoire terug en presenteren ze tegelijk hun eigen muzikale stem met ‘Hivemind’, hun debuutplaat met invloeden van Sigma tot Chase & Status, Bach tot Pink Floyd en latin tot metal. Verwacht een kleurrijke show met muziek die je herkent en genre combinaties die je nooit voor mogelijk had gehouden.

A pianist in a tailcoat, a metal guitarist full of tattoos and an MC in a rainbow suit: Polyphonic is a colourful group that transforms festivals into a musically refined dance party. The energetic drum & bass is fused seamlessly with screeching guitars, elegant strings and bombastic brass, with a combination of own music and repertoire ranging from Bach to Chase & Status, but also Eminem and Ray Charles.
Using both orchestral and electronic instruments, Polyphonic creates a fresh soundscape that is expressed vividly in their music. Their playful take on live drum & bass caused a stir last year with viral performances in the international drum & bass world (such as RAMPAGE and Liquicity) and sold-out shows in the illustrious Melkweg and more.
