Dit feestelijk Nieuwjaarsconcert biedt een smaakvolle blend van Weense elegantie, Spaanse passie en Italiaanse lyriek. Geniet van de pakkende klanken van Johann Strauss jr., Chapi en Rossini en laat je gewillig betoveren door stersopraan Leonor Amaral, die in meeslepende aria’s schittert. Kortom: luid met het Noord Nederlands Orkest het nieuwe jaar feestelijk in met levendige polka’s, pakkende aria’s en zwierige walsen!
Rossini’s ouverture Il Barbiere di Siviglia opent energiek het programma, gevolgd door vurig Spaans repertoire. Natuurlijk word je daarna op je wenken bediend met hoogtepunten uit het Weense operette- en balzaalrepertoire! Stersopraan Leonor Amaral zorgt voor menig kippenvelmoment met bekende aria’s, zoals de expressieve Cancion de la Paloma van Barbieri, het dramatische Carceleras van Chapi en het bevallige lied Strahlender Mond van Künnecke. Dit alles natuurlijk ondenkbaar zonder de beste polka’s en walsen van Johann Strauss Jr., want alleen zó kan het nieuwe jaar in stijl worden verwelkomd!

Rossini’s overture, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, opens the program energetically, followed by fiery Spanish repertoire. Naturally, you’ll then be treated to highlights from the Viennese operetta and ballroom repertoire! Star soprano Leonor Amaral will create many goosebump-inducing moments with well-known arias, such as Barbieri’s expressive Cancion de la Paloma, Chapi’s dramatic Carceleras, and Künnecke’s graceful song Strahlender Mond. Of course, all of this would be unthinkable without the best polkas and waltzes of Johann Strauss Jr., because that’s the only way to welcome the new year in style!
