New Cool Collective Big Band
Een avond vol jazz, dance, latin, salsa en afrobeat
Jazz, dance, latin, salsa, afrobeat: New Cool Collective zorgt weer voor een dansfeest waar de vonken van af vliegen. Het altijd goedgeklede collectief toerde al over de hele wereld, won vele awards en speelde ontelbaar vaak in toonaangevende festivals en clubs. Om 30 jaar NCC te vieren nu niet met acht, maar met een negentien-koppige bigband!
Het begint allemaal in 1993 in de Amsterdamse Soul Kitchen, waar Benjamin Herman en DJ Graham B samen op het podium staan. Terwijl Graham B platen draait, speelt Benjamin. Het is een unieke combinatie, die al snel leidt tot het achtkoppige New Cool Collective. In de loop der jaren speelt de groep wereldwijd in de hipste clubs en op festivals, in de vaste achtkoppige bezetting of als negentienkoppige bigband. Daarnaast werkte NCC samen met onder meer Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité en Georgie Fame.

The always sophisticated collective has toured all over the world, won many awards and performed at countless trend-setting clubs and festivals. To celebrate 30 years of NCC, the New Cool Collective performs not with their usual eight members, but with a nineteen-piece big band!
It all began in 1993 in the Amsterdam Soul Kitchen, where Benjamin Herman and DJ Graham B first started to perform on stage together: Graham B spinning records, Benjamin playing the sax. It was a unique combination, which quickly evolved into the eight-member New Cool Collective. Over the years, the group has performed worldwide at the hippest clubs and festivals, either with its standard eight-person line-up or as a nineteen-piece big band. In addition, NCC has collaborated with Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité and Georgie Fame, among others.
