Tijdens Masterpiece 2026 ontrafelen we Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique. Een stuk dat ontstond uit een obsessie voor een onbereikbare liefde, doordrenkt raakt van opium en eindigt in een nachtmerrie. Al voor filmmuziek bestond schreef de Franse comopnist Hector Berlioz dit cinematografische stuk.
SPOT en het NNO slaan voor de 4e keer de handen ineen en toveren de hele Oosterpoort om tot één grote ontdekkingstocht. During Masterpiece 2026, we will unravel Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique. A piece that arose from an obsession with an unattainable love, becomes steeped in opium, and ends in a nightmare. Even before film music existed, French composer Hector Berlioz wrote this cinematic piece.
