De Belgische-Kameroense singer-songwriter Lubiana neemt je met haar muziek mee op reis naar de rijke klanken van Afrika, Europa en Noord-Amerika. Ze staat bekend om haar meesterlijke beheersing van de Kora, West-Afrikaanse harp, die ze op vernieuwende wijze combineert met genres als neo-soul en pop. Aan de traditionele, ritmische, scherpe Kora-stijl voegt ze een meer melodische benadering toe. Ze wordt geïnspireerd door artiesten als Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu en Sade.
Op 21-jarige leeftijd trad Lubiana op bij open mics in London en Los Angeles, met als missie de Kora toegankelijk te maken voor een internationaler publiek. In Los Angeles werd ze ontdekt Om’Mas Keith, de gerenommeerde producer die samenwerkte met Frank Ocean en Kanye West, en haar introduceerde in de neo-soul-scene. In haar nieuwste album Terre Rouge, draait om verbondenheid met haar voorouders, haar Kameroense roots en de zoektocht naar haar eigen identiteit.
