Dizzy Gillespie, Grover Washington jr, Kenny Barron, Dianne Reeves, Beastie Boys, Eddie Henderson, Hiram Bullock, Ron Carter, Jimmy Scott; just a few names from the huge list of famous musicians that vibraphone player Joe Locke has worked with. Regularly Locke is touring the world, as a solo player and as a musical leader, but he also teaches at several institutions in America and Europe. In 2012 his first symphonic cd ‘Wish Upon A Star’ was released, a live recording with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. His third album ‘Lay Down My Heart – Blues & Ballads Vol. 1’ reached the top position in the Jazz Week album list in July 2013.

Locke is regelmatig wereldwijd op tournee, als solist en als muzikaal leider, maar geeft ook les aan verschillende instituten in Amerika en Europa.
