Een stel grote planken en een handvol oranje gasflessen: meer hebben de drie mannen van Cirque Inextrémiste niet nodig in deze fascinerende voorstelling. Opmerkelijk: één van de drie mannen zit in een rolstoel. Hij vormt tijdens de ver- bluffende acrobatische toeren letterlijk het tegenwicht voor de andere twee. Dit evenwicht wordt echter al snel verstoord als de man in de rolstoel te maken krijgt met pesterijen. Wat volgt is een kat-en-muis spel tussen de drie, waarbij ze voortdurend risico’s en het gevaar opzoeken… ‘Extrêmités’ is niet alleen circustheater in optima forma, maar ook een bijzonder verhaal dat tot de laatste minuut boeit. De voorstelling is dan ook een hit op alle grote Europese theaterfestivals.

A couple of big shelves and a handful of orange gas bottles: that’s all the three men of Cirque Inextrémiste need for this fascinating performance. Remarkable: one of the three men is in a wheelchair. He literally forms the counterbalance for the other two during the dumbfounding acrobatics. However, this balance is quickly disrupted when the man in the wheelchair is teased. What follows is a game of cat and mouse between the three, in which they constantly seek risks and danger… ‘Extrêmités’ is not only circus theatre optima forma, but also a very special story that captivates from beginning to end. No wonder the performance has been a hit at all the big European theatre festivals.
