Benjamin Herman and Anton Goudsmit are two of the greats within Dutch jazz and are absolutely no strangers to each other. Indeed, they have been sharing a stage for decades. It started in local bars, then with New Cool Collective and later with Benjamin Herman and his quartet. Now they are touring together again throughout the country.
Benjamin Herman is one of the best and most well-known saxophonists of the Netherlands. He has been bandleader of both New Cool Collective for years and of his own quartet. Anton Goudsmit is known as a guitarist of several jazz bands, such as New Cool Collective and The Ploctones, and is known for his inventive style. And now these friends and colleagues are coming to De Spieghel for a musical clash!

Benjamin Herman en Anton Goudsmit zijn twee grootheden uit de Nederlandse jazzscene en absoluut geen onbekenden van elkaar. Sterker nog, ze staan al decennia lang samen op het podium. Het begon in lokale kroegjes, daarna met New Cool Collective en later met Benjamin Herman en zijn kwartet. Na een ‘pauze’ van meer dan twee jaar staan Herman en Goudsmit weer te trappelen om met elkaar de podia onveilig te maken. Dit keer als duo.
Benjamin Herman is een van de beste en bekendste saxofonisten van Nederland. Hij is al jaren bandleider van New Cool Collective en zijn eigen kwartet. Anton Goudsmit is bekend als gitarist van diverse jazzbands, waaronder New Cool Collective en The Ploctones, en staat bekend om zijn inventieve stijl. En nu komen deze vrienden en collega’s naar het Grand Theatre voor een muzikale clash!
