Concertos en cantates van Bach
De Noorse Janine Jansen werd ze al eens in de Nederlandse pers genoemd. Niet voor niets, want Vilde Frang is een van de meest getalenteerde en geprezen violisten van haar generatie.
Met haar uitzonderlijke talent speelde de in 1986 in Oslo geboren Frang zich al snel in de kijker. Als twaalfjarige maakte ze op uitnodiging van dirigent Mariss Jansons haar debuut bij het Oslo Filharmonisch Orkest. In de jaren die volgde speelde ze met ’s werelds beroemdste orkesten, zoals het Wiener Philharmoniker, het Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, het Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra en het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest. In 2023 was Vilde Frang in ons land te zien met Philippe Herreweghe en het Orchestre des Champs-Élysées.
Met Arcangelo, het in 2010 opgerichte kamermuziekensemble van cellist Jonathan Cohen, heeft Frang al ruim tien jaar een muzikale relatie. Tijdens dit concert duiken de musici in de bloeitijd van de barok, met onder anderen het Vioolconcert in E van J.S. Bach. Sopraan Julia Doyle voegt extra drama en gevoel toe met aria’s van Händel en Bachs jongste zoon Johann Christian.

With her exceptional talent, Oslo-born Frang, who was born in Oslo in 1986, quickly made a name for herself. As a 12-year-old, she made her debut with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra at the invitation of conductor Mariss Jansons. In the years that followed, she played with the world’s most famous orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. In 2023, Vilde Frang appeared in our country with Philippe Herreweghe and the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées.
With Arcangelo, the chamber music ensemble founded in 2010 by cellist Jonathan Cohen, Frang has had a musical relationship for over a decade. At this concert, the musicians dive into the heyday of the Baroque era, including J.S. Bach’s Violin Concerto in E. Soprano Julia Doyle adds extra drama and feeling with arias by Handel and Bach’s youngest son Johann Christian.
