Alexandra Dovgan is een van de allergrootste talenten van haar generatie. In juli vierde ze haar achttiende verjaardag, maar ondanks haar jonge leeftijd krijgt ze het publiek in ‘s werelds meest prestigieuze zalen op het puntje van de stoel. Met een ongeëvenaarde technische beheersing en een muzikaliteit die haar leeftijd ver overstijgt, weet zij overal waar ze komt te betoveren. Haar spel kenmerkt zich door een diepe emotionele intensiteit, verbluffende precisie en een zeldzaam gevoel voor interpretatie. Wat ze ook speelt, haar vertolkingen zijn altijd verrassend, eigenzinnig en authentiek. Zelfs pianogrootheid Grigory Sokolov is diep onder de indruk van hetgeen Dovgan op haar cd’s en tijdens haar concerten laat horen.
Komend seizoen maakt zij haar debuut in de serie Grote Pianisten in het Concertgebouw, in maart 2026 speelt ze in de befaamde Carnegie Hall in New York, maar nu al kun je haar bij SPOT zien en horen! Op maandag 3 november komt ze naar De Oosterpoort, zodat jij zelf kunt ervaren waarom Alexandra Dovgan ongetwijfeld zal uitgroeien tot een van de allergrootste pianisten van de 21e eeuw.

As such, Dovgan is one of the very greatest talents of her generation. With an unparalleled technical mastery and a musicality that far exceeds her age, she manages to enchant audiences and critics worldwide time and again. Her playing is characterized by deep emotional intensity, stunning precision and a rare sense of interpretation. It makes seasoned piano lovers – and therefore the very best pianists in the world – hit straight to the heart. Dovgan brings familiar works from the classical repertoire to life with a fresh perspective, without losing sight of the essence of the composer. Whether it is Chopin, Schumann or Beethoven, her interpretations are always surprising and authentic.
In July 2025, Dovgan will celebrate her eighteenth birthday, but despite her young age, she knows how to get quite spoiled audiences on the edge of their seats in the world’s most prestigious halls. Next season she will make her debut in the Great Pianists series at the Concertgebouw and play at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall. But we’ve already got her!
