De Britse rockgroep Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel komt in april naar Groningen. De band is een van de grootste internationale topbands uit de jaren zeventig. Met de wereldwijde klassiekers Sebastian en Make Me Smile, welke elk jaar opduiken in de Top 2000, heeft de band zijn stempel op de popgeschiedenis gezet.
Cockney Rebel
Cockney Rebel was een van de meest creatieve Britse bands uit de glamrock-periode. Na de eerste hit Sebastian viel de band uiteen, waarna Steve zijn volgende hit Make Me Smile schreef. Later pas bleek dat het nummer, dat geproduceerd is door Alan Parsons in Abbey Road studios, over het vertrek van de bandleden ging.
British glam rock group Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel is coming to Groningen in April. With worldwide classics such as Sebastian and Make Me Smile, the band has left a definite mark on pop history.
Cockney Rebel
The original Cockney Rebel was one of the most creative British bands of the glam rock era. After the first hit Sebastian, the band fell apart, after which Steve wrote his next hit Make Me Smile, inspired by the departure of his fellow band members.
