Zojuist ontvingen wij het bericht dat de Nederlandse shows van de tour van The Raveonettes helaas niet door kunnen gaan vanwege onvoorziene logistieke omstandigheden. Dit betekent dus ook dat het optreden in De Oosterpoort op 15 december niet door gaat. Tickethouders hebben per mail bericht ontvangen.
With their blend of surf guitar, ’50s rock ’n’ roll and girl group pop, The Raveonettes were a defining force in the early 2000s garage rock revival. Their explosive, dissonant sound stands in sharp contrast to the dreamy boy/girl harmonies that have become their trademark. The new album Pe’ahi 2 delves into themes of desire, mortality and vulnerability, picking up where 2014’s Pe’ahi left off. The Raveonettes continue to inspire a new generation of pop artists, and there’s even more new music on the way.
