Comedy, chaos en de gevechten, samengesmolten tot een meesterwerk
Na twee uitverkochte voorstellingen in de Stadsschouwburg keert Mythos: Ragnarok terug naar Groningen. Op donderdag 30 en vrijdag 31 oktober staat deze publieksfavoriet opnieuw op de planken. Zet je schrap voor waarschijnlijk de meest krankzinnige voorstelling van het jaar. Comedy, chaos en gevechten, samengesmolten tot een meesterwerk.
Hulk Hogan meets Odin. In Mythos Ragnarok, naar de Oudnoorse mythe over de ondergang van de machten c.q. de goden, wordt het mythologische verhaal uitgebeeld door professionele worstelaars. De voorstelling was een hit op het Edinburgh Fringe Festival, want deze mix van comedy, chaos en de gevechten uit aloude verhalen is samengesmolten tot een meesterwerk. Thor, Loki, Odin en al die andere Noorse goden zijn in gevecht met oergiganten, rivaliserende clans en meer van zulks. “A knockout spectacle”, aldus The Telegraph dat een dringend advies heeft: “Just as gloriously mad as its source material. Fight for a ticket!”

Brace yourself for probably the most insane performance of the year. Hulk Hogan meets Odin. In “Mythos Ragnarok,” after the Old Norse myth of the downfall of the powers or gods, the mythological story is enacted by professional wrestlers. The show was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as this mix of comedy, mayhem and the battles from ancient tales is fused into a masterpiece. Thor, Loki, Odin and all those other Norse gods are battling primal giants, rival clans and more of the like. “A knockout spectacle,” says The Telegraph, which has urgent advice: ”Just as gloriously mad as its source material. Fight for a ticket!”
