Kingfishrs atmosferische folkpop en aanstekelijke melodieën zorgden ervoor dat ze razendsnel uitgroeiden tot publieksfavoriet in Ierland en het VK. Ze verkochten in korte tijd tienduizenden tickets en scoorden een hit met het nummer ‘Killeagh’. Met invloeden van U2, Hans Zimmer en Ben Howard, in combinatie met hun Ierse roots, creëren ze een kenmerkend Kingfishr-geluid waar je niet omheen kunt. Eerder dit jaar wisten ze Groningen al te veroveren tijdens ESNS, nu is het tijd voor hun eigen show in De Oosterpoort.
Kingfishr’s atmospheric folk-pop and catchy melodies quickly made them a crowd favourite in Ireland and the UK. They sold tens of thousands of tickets in no time and scored a hit with the single ‘Killeagh’. With influences from U2, Hans Zimmer and Ben Howard, combined with their Irish roots, they create a distinctive Kingfishr sound that’s hard to ignore. Earlier this year they already impressed Groningen during ESNS, now they’re back for their own show at De Oosterpoort.
