Paul Carrack, één van de beste Britse singer-songwriters aller tijden komt naar De Oosterpoort! De Britse alleskunner bouwde door de jaren heen een succesvolle solocarrière op met evergreens als I Need You en Dedicated en heeft samenwerkingen met onder andere The Eagles, Elton John, BB King, Roxy Music en Eric Clapton achter zijn naam staan. Op 18 april 2022 komt hij naar de Stadsschouwburg met de Paul Carrack in Concert tour!
Paul Carrack, ook wel “The Man with the Golden Voice” genoemd, maakt midden jaren zeventig voor het eerst internationaal faam als tekstschrijver en bandlid van pubrock-formatie Ace. Daarnaast is hij sessiemuzikant bij The Pretenders, The Smiths en Roxy Music en bouwt hij vanaf begin jaren tachtig aan zijn solocarrière. Bij het grote publiek is de nu 65-jarige Carrack vooral bekend als een van de leadzangers van de supergroep Mike and the Mechanics. Samen met onder meer Mike Rutherford (Genesis) scoort hij wereldhits als All I Need Is A Miracle, Over My Shoulder en natuurlijk The Living Years.

De Britse R&B zangeres Kat Eaton bracht in 2021 haar plaat Talk To Me uit. Ze toerde afgelopen jaren door de UK en EU om het voorprogramma te verzorgen van meerdere artiesten. Ze schreef onder andere aan nieuw werk met artiesten als Caro Emerald en Ruby Turner. Op maandag 18 april is Kat Eaton de support van Paul Carrack.

Paul Carrack, also known as “The Man with the Golden Voice”, gained international fame for the first time in the mid-70s, as lyricist and band member of pub-rock formation Ace. He was also session musician with The Eagles, Elton John, BB King, Roxy Music, and Eric Clapton and has been building his solo career since the early ‘80s. The general public now knows the 65-year-old Carrack mainly for being one of the lead singers of the super group Mike and the Mechanics. Together with among others Mike Rutherford (Genesis) he scores world hits such as All I Need Is A Miracle, Over My Shoulder and of course The Living Years.
